One of the biggest fears people have before going on holiday is :

"What if I lose all the progress I`ve worked so hard for?"

The truth is that most people don`t gain body fat because of a one-week holiday.

They gain body fat because one week turns into one month.

These holiday fitness tips will help you enjoy your trip without losing your hard‑earned progress.

The Biggest Mistake People Make.

Many people think they have only two options:

Fallow a perfect diet

Eat absolutely everything

The reality is somewhere in the middle. You don`t need to be perfect on holiday. You just need to avoid turning every meal into an all-you-can-eat challenge.

Simple Holiday Fitness Tips You Can Use Anywhere

Normally, I encourage flexibility and balance. However, my situation is slightly different. I`m currently 3 weeks out from a bodybuilding competition. Because of that, I`ve taken extra precautions:

Prepared meals for my travel day

Brought a food scale

Planned my meals in advance

Chosen foods that fit my nutrition targets

Would I recommend this to every holidaymaker?

No.

Most people don`t need to take things this fat.

The reason I`m doing it is because I have a very specific goal and a competition deadline.

What I Recommend To Most People

Instead of trying to be perfect:

1. Prioritise Protein

Every meal should contain a good source of protein

Protein helps maintain muscle mass and keeps you fuller for longer.

2. Stay Active

Walk more,

Swim,

Explore.

Use the hotel gym if you enjoy training

3. Enjoy Treats Mindfully

You don`t need to avoid ice cream or cocktails forever. Just don`t turn every meal into the cheat meal.

4. Focus On Maintenance

A holiday isn`t always the time to aggressively lose body fat. Maintaining your progress is often a huge win.

The Truth About Holidays And Fat Loss

One week doesn`t make you overweight. Just like one healthy meal doesn`t make you lean. Results are built through consistent actions over months, not days.

Enjoy the holiday.

Create memories.

Then get back to your routine when you return.

Final Thoughts

Whether you`re trying to lose body fat, build muscle or prepare for a competition, they key is finding an approach that works for your lifestyle.

As a coach , my goal isn`t to help people fallow a plan for a week.

My goal is to help people build habits they can fallow for years
